Desktop donation drive to support the needs of disadvantaged women and children
FGII donated 50 computers in Mumbai and Pune regionthrough our NGO partners Pratham, Smile Foundation, Akshara Centre, Indian Development Foundation and Vidya.
These desktops will be utilised towards the education and skill training of underprivileged children and youth.
Desktop Donation Drive for education and empowerment of children and youth
To fulfill its undertaking towards environmental protection and access to quality education to the disadvantaged, FGII has donated desktop computers to four different NGOs.
The NGOs benefitted by the Desktop Donation Drive are Pride India, Save the Children, Jeevanganga Trust and Srujna Charitable Trust. The move helped in promoting computer education of the children belonging to tribal and indigenous fisherman community and differently abled children coming from underprivileged background. It also created opportunities for market linkage of the underprivileged and deprived women and helped in online selling of their hand-made products.
About Desktop Donation Drive
Every year, in order to fulfill its undertaking towards facilitating access to education and environmental protection, FGII conducts Desktop Donation Drive across its office span India.
Through this drive, on one hand, FGII aims to support computer education of the underprivileged and protect the environment from toxic electronic waste on the other.
