Yes. If you have a Future Generali Health Insurance policy, you do not have to worry about the cost of treatment for COVID-19. For the purpose of insurance, COVID -19 will be treated like any other disease and all hospitalization expenses will be covered, if the individual has been hospitalized for at least 24 hours for treatment.

Yes, you can claim reimbursement for treatment availed in quarantine if the quarantine or medical facility where you are undergoing treatment, is approved by the Government and if there are any medical expenses related to treatment during the quarantine period (which would also need hospitalization under normal circumstances).However ‘Home quarantine’ and any quarantine without treatment being given will not be covered.

This also means that we will pay claims if the patient is quarantined for showing symptoms of COVID-19 and is treated for the respiratory distress condition during hospitalization but the COVID-19 test may be negative.

Yes. Any person who is hospitalized for at least 24 hours as a result of coronavirus and takes treatment will be covered as per the terms and conditions of the policy.

No. Considering the number of countries and people affected by the novel coronavirus, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. A pandemic is the global outbreak of a disease.

Pandemics are not exclusions for our Health policies. Hence categorisation of COVID-19 as a pandemic has not impacted our health policy’s coverage of Coronavirus
