Corona Kavach Policy, Future Generali India Insurance Company is an affordable health insurance policy that safeguards your entire family against hospitalization expenses due to COVID-19. The product can be availed on individual and family floater basis
Family Definition: Policy can be availed for Self and the following family members
Legally wedded spouse
Parents and Parents-in-law
Dependent children (up to the age of 25 years), 2 dependent parents and / or 2 dependent parents in laws can be covered under single policy
Sum Insured options available in the product are ₹ 50 K, 1 Lac, 1.5 Lacs, 2 Lacs, 2.5 Lacs, 3 Lacs, 3.5 Lacs, 4 Lacs, 4.5 Lacs, 5 Lacs
Three and half months (3 ½ months) i.e. 105 days
Six and half months (6 ½ months) i.e. 195 days
Nine and half months (9 ½ months) i.e. 285 days
Renewal- Not applicable
Room Rent, Boarding, Nursing Expenses as provided by the Hospital / Nursing Home.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) expenses.
Surgeon, Anesthetist, Medical Practitioner, Consultants, Specialist Fees whether paid directly to the treating doctor / surgeon or to the hospital
Anesthesia, blood, oxygen, operation theatre charges, surgical appliances, ventilator charges, medicines and drugs, costs towards diagnostics, diagnostic imaging modalities, PPE Kit, gloves, mask and such similar other expenses.
Road Ambulance subject to a maximum of Rs.2000/- per hospitalization for the Ambulance services offered by a Hospital or by an Ambulance service provider, provided that the Ambulance is availed only in relation to Covid Hospitalization for which the Company has accepted a claim under section This also includes the cost of the transportation of the Insured Person from a Hospital to the another Hospital as prescribed by a Medical Practitioner
For a fixed period of 15 days prior to the date of admissible hospitalization/home care treatment covered under the policy.
For a fixed period of 30 days from the date of discharge from the hospital, following an admissible hospitalization covered under the policy
Medical expenses incurred for inpatient care treatment for Covid on Positive diagnosis of COVID at any AYUSH Hospital.
Medical Expenses incurred for Inpatient Care treatment for Covid under Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy systems of medicines shall be covered. The following shall be covered if prescribed by the treating medical practitioner and is related to treatment of COVID,
The Company shall pay the Insured Person 0.5% of sum insured per day for each 24 hours of continuous hospitalization for which the Company has accepted a claim under Covid Hospitalization Cover. The benefit shall be payable maximum up to 15 days during a policy period in respect of every insured person.
Family discount will be applicable in case two or more family members are covered in the same policy in case of Individual Sum Insured option.
Loading on Claim experience: There will be no loading on premium for adverse claims experience.
Tax benefit: Premium paid by any mode other than cash is eligible for tax relief as provided under Section 80-D of the Income Tax Act.
Expenses related to the treatment of COVID within 15 days from the policy commencement date shall be excluded.

Claim Form You can intimate your claim online or submit the form to your branch office or alternatively email us.
Complaint / Feedback Form Should you have any complaints/feedback, you can fill in the form and submit it to the nearest branch or email us.
Grievance Redressal Procedure along with list of ombudsman addresses. In case you are not satisfied with the resolution to the complaint as provided by us, you may approach the Insurance Ombudsman for review.
You can expect to receive this pack within 12-15 working days of purchasing our health insurance.

You can opt for below sum insured options on individual and floater sum insured basis: ₹ 50000, ₹ 100000, ₹ 150000, ₹ 200000, ₹ 250000, ₹ 300000, ₹ 350000, ₹ 400000, ₹ 450000, ₹ 500000.
No pre-insurance medical examination test is required, irrespective of the sum insured and age of the insured
Underwriting loading of premium will be applicable on the particular Insured’s premium in case of adverse health conditions declared on the proposal form.
The minimum age required for entry is Day 1. The Maximum age for entry for adults is 65 years. Children will be covered as dependents from Day 1 up to 25 years of age. If the child above 18 years of age is financially independent, he or she shall be ineligible for coverage in the subsequent renewals.
Yes, Any person who is hospitalized for a minimum continuous period of 24 hours as a result of positive diagnosis of Covid-19, will be covered as per the terms and conditions of the policy.
You can get covered for medical expenses incurred for inpatient care treatment for COVID on Positive diagnosis, including the expenses incurred on treatment of any comorbidity along with the treatment for COVID under Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy systems of medicines.
No, You cannot claim for Quarantine under this policy.
Yes, Hospital Daily Cash Cover is an optional cover under the policy. On opting for this cover, the Company shall pay 0.5% of sum insured per day for each 24 hours of continuous hospitalization for which the Company has accepted a claim under Hospitalization section. Hospital Cash benefit shall be payable maximum up to 15 days during a policy period in respect of every insured person.
However the total amount payable in respect of all the covers shall not exceed 100% of the Sum Insured during a policy period.
If you pay the premium by any mode other than Cash / DD under the Policy , You shall be eligible for income tax benefit under Sec 80 D of the Income Tax Act and any amendments thereon
The Company shall not be liable for any claim arising for COVID within 15 days from the first policy commencement date.
The cover under this Policy shall cease if the Insured Person travels to any country placed under travel restriction by the Government of India.
Network Provider means hospitals or health care providers enlisted by Future Generali to provide medical services to an insured on payment by a Cashless Facility.
(Please note: The Hospitals which have been empanelled by Us as Network Providers are as per the latest version of the schedule of Hospitals maintained by Us, which is available to You on request.)
Non-Network Provider means any hospital, day care centre or other provider that is not part of the network.
