Schools require toilets and hand wash stations in sufficient numbers and at child's height. Repair and refurbishment activities will be undertaken to ensure the infrastructure is adequate.
Each school will be equipped with sensor based, no touch soap dispensers along with a supply of liquid hand wash.
Foot operated sanitizer dispensers allow one to maintain hygiene with minimal risk of contamination. Dispensers will be installed in each school at areas where children are likely to touch common supplies (such as Science Lab, Library, etc).
A set of IEC material (posters, banners, etc.) will be developed in the medium of instruction followed in the school. This material will include reminders and prompts for maintaining hand hygiene, steps of hand washing, instructions for use of the infrastructure, and preventive health measures. These will be displayed at prominent spaces in the school to reinforce good practices amongst the students and staff.
