Ashish Lakhtakia is the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and Company Secretary here at Future Generali India Insurance Ltd. He is responsible for Future Generali’s legal, compliance, corporate governance, regulatory affairs, security groups and public policies.
Before assuming his current position in 2020, Ashish already had a rich experience as a Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and a Company Secretary, leading various organisations’ legal, compliance corporate governance, regulatory affairs and public policies. He has worked with industry giants such as Aditya Birla Sunlife Insurance, Asset Reconstruction Company India Limited, Reliance Nippon Life Insurance and Edelweiss General Insurance.
Ashish, due to his expertise in managing legal, compliance and governance risks, has been on the receiving end of many accolades. He has won the Golden Peacock National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance, ICAI Award for excellence in financial reporting for 2011 and SAFA (South Asian Federation of Accountants) best presented Annual Report Award 2011.
Ashish holds a B.Sc, LL.B and Masters in Labour Laws and Personnel Management from the University of Lucknow. He also is a Fellow member (FCS) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
