Ruchika Varma

An Indian marketing maven donning many hats, Ruchika Malhan Varma is the Chief Marketing, Customer and Impact Officer of Future Generali India Insurance Limited, the general insurance arm of the JV between Generali, a 190 year old global insurance featuring in the world’s 75 largest companies and the Future Group.

Ruchika is a results-oriented marketing strategist with over 23 years of experience in managing both start-up and established brands in India and Asia, across multiple sectors, including financial services, media, entertainment, travel and consumer goods.

In her previous role, she was the Chief Marketing Officer at IDFC FIRST Bank, where she was instrumental in establishing and overseeing the IDFC Bank & IDFC FIRST Bank brands. She has also held executive positions with organisations like BBC Worldwide, Lonely Planet, and the Singapore Tourism Board in Singapore, as well as VIP Luggage and Electrolux in India.

At Future Generali India Insurance, Ruchika leads brand & marketing communications, digital marketing, corporate communications, digital assets & capabilities, product strategy and innovation, customer experience, customer service, digital acquisition, web sales, telesales and corporate social responsibility along with Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) and Sustainability agendas of the organisation.

Ruchika is a thought leader in Marketing and the recipient of multiple accolades for her work, including WARC International Awards, Marketing Effectiveness Awards (The Effies) and FICCI Campaign Awards.
