To mark the 29th National Road Safety Week, Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII), the general insurance arm of the joint venture between retail game changers Future Group and global insurer Generali, conducted a series of Road Safety Awareness Drive from April 23rd to April 30th 2018. In alignment with the National Agenda framed by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), FGII carried out various awareness activities under the theme of ‘Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha’.
The activities were conducted in Bangalore, Banga(Jallandar), Kotkalan (Ludhiana), Chandigarh, Indore, Thrissur, Agartala (Tripura), Cuttack and Mumbai.
Commenting on the drive, K. G. Krishnamoorthy Rao, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited said, “ Road safety is a shared responsibility and our company is committed to the cause of increasing awareness about it. In our program we have also focussed on children as we believe that educating them will in turn help us reaching out to adults. We also conducted on-ground road activities, which went a step further in attracting the attention of a greater number of people "
The company conducted a series of activities on Road Safety Awareness by means of Quiz,Drawing & Essay competitions at various schools and colleges like Xavier High School Cuttack, Indian Institute of Business Studies (Bangalore), Swami Roop Chand Jain Model Sr. Sec. School, Banga Jallandhar, SVM Sr. Sec. School Kotkalan, Ludhiana, DAV Sr. Sec. School Sec-8 Chandigarh & Pioneer Convent Indore. With this initiative, FGII was able to reach out to approx 1200 students countrywide.
In Mumbai the company partnered with the traffic police team of Saki Naka to conduct the Road Safety drive. A team consisting of eight police officers and a few employees of the company approached close to 800 locals and urged them to adhere to Road Safety meausures.
In addition to this canopy activities were conducted in Agartala & Thrissur where people were made aware on the importance of Road Safety by distribution of leaflets.
