Future Generali aims to continue investing towards CSR projects in 2021-22 in collaboration with non-profits by executing projects covering focus areas of FGII that will have long-term benefits and measurable impact.
The project will be implemented in Uttan village of Thane district in collaboration with Amcha Ghar. It essentially aims at setting-up a STEM tinker lab and a Digital Learning centre that will benefit approximately 1500 students from primary and secondary schools. The project STEM tinker lab will consist of Arduino program kits, robotic kits, wireless sensors, soldering & prototyping kits etc. for students that will increase their engagement by providing them with a unique hands-on experience and interactive learning approach to help them understand Science better. The digital learning centre will improve reading and learning outcomes of children from marginalised section of the society.
The project focuses on providing fowler beds at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Delhi and helping the facility be well-equipped with beds that can be used for treating the patients suffering from Covid-19.
The project is being implemented at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Hospital in Sion, Mumbai where FGII is providing medical equipment & health accessories to the hospital. The equipment/health accessories include a sonosite machine, AMBU Scopes for adult patients and children, and 20,000 N-95 masks that will be used by the frontline workers. The project aims at helping 450 patients admitted to the specialised Covid-19 ward.
FGII aims at setting up 90 bedded Covid-19 wards in collaboration with Oxfam India in three districts namely Jodhpur in Rajasthan and Kopal and Raichur in Karnataka. Apart from setting up covid-19 wards, the project focuses on equipping the hospitals with necessary medical equipment/ health accessories like Bi-pap machines, oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, PPE & ASHA kits, nebulizers etc. The project will cater to approximately 2700+ beneficiaries.
The project STEM & Digital Resource Centre will be implemented in 13 schools of Bihar in collaboration with Samarthanam trust for the Disabled and aims at catering to 5000+ beneficiaries The project encourages scientific thinking, stimulate curiosity, provide practical opportunities to explore concepts in easy ways and is educative, innovative and a systemic instrument designed to revolutionize science & math’s education that makes learning simpler and accessible. Digital resource centers will be used for dissemination of knowledge in general academics and computers, collection and storing of digital academic books for reference, training of teachers for capacity building, access to digital equipment for learning and conducting social, intellectual and voluntary activities.
FGII has been implementing Project Ankur in 24 Anganwadi centers in Ranchi & Khammam districts of Jharkhand and Telangana in collaboration with United Way Mumbai. The project focuses on school readiness & parentability and works with children between 0-6 years and makes them school ready during their formative years of development by working on their developmental milestones such as cognitive, social, and emotional development. The project impacted 2500+ beneficiaries.
The project ‘School Library’ is being implemented in collaboration with Room to Read with an aim to inculcate the habit of reading amongst children, develop their reading skills and help children access the rest of the curriculum and to empower them to be lifelong learners. The School Library program provides the instruction, resources, and space that children need to develop a strong foundation in literacy. The project aims at setting up 12 libraries in municipal schools of Mumbai and benefit 3600+ children. The school library project is an ongoing project and the project duration of the same is January 2020-March 2023.
Students from slum communities do not have access to quality education leading to poor learning outcomes in India. To support the education of 250 children, a blackboard, books, copies, and benches were donated to Masoom Foundation in Mankhurd, Mumbai. These students attend the remedial classes daily and benefit from different types of classes conducted in the centers apart from the regular classes being conducted in school. Some of the activities include personality development sessions, dance sessions, and art classes.
