Vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue are quite common in India. If you get such a disease, you could spend many days in bed. In fact, many people lose their lives to these illnesses.

Get a lump sum benefit if the policyholder gets hospitalized due to any of the listed conditions.

Free Look Period

We respect your choice. So, if you ever wish to cancel the policy, you can do it without any penalty within 15 days from purchase.

Restoration of Sum Insured

If any of the listed conditions occur, 100% of sum insured shall be paid. Policy shall be reinstated automatically by deduction of pro-rata premium from the payable claim amount for the remaining duration of the policy year.

30 Days of Renewal

From the expiry date of the policy, you get 30 days grace period for renewal.

Pre-Acceptance Medical Tests

No pre-insurance medical examination test is required, irrespective of the sum insured and age of the insured.

What happens after purchase?

Once you secure the insurance cover, you get a financial assurance for all your health needs. You also get documents for your better understanding and convenience.

Policy Schedule You will receive the policy schedule. It is an outline of the cover which is provided by the purchased policy. Details of the policyholder, coverage amount, additional clauses, exclusions, warranties etc will be given in this policy.
Premiums Receipt You will receive the receipt of the premium amount you have paid to purchase this policy.
80D Tax Deduction Certificate 80D certificate for tax deduction if the premium is paid via Credit Card/Debit Card, Net Banking, or Cheque except cash payment.
Policy Coverage and Terms & Conditions This is a comprehensive document which lists down the coverage offered by the policy along with terms and conditions. It is better to read this thoroughly and highlight important points. In case of any discrepancy or doubt, do get in touch with us immediately.
Claim Form You can either intimate your claim online or submit the form to a branch of your choice. You can also email the claim details to us.
Complaint / Feedback Form Should you have any complaints/feedback, you can fill in the form and submit it to the nearest branch or email us.
Grievance Redressal In case you aren’t satisfied with the resolution provided by us to your complaint, then you can approach the Insurance Ombudsman. This form will have details about the procedure to approach the insurance ombudsman along with the addresses of the ombudsman.

What are the Sum Insureds available in this policy?

The Sum Insured options available under this product are ₹ 10000, ₹ 25000, ₹ 50000 and ₹ 75000

What are the conditions covered under this policy?

This health insurance product provide a lump sum benefit in case the insured is diagnosed with serious diseases caused by vectors.
Lump-sum payment of 100% will be made if the policyholder gets hospitalized for minimum 24 In-patient care consecutive hours due to any of the following conditions:

i. Malaria

ii. Dengue

iii. Lymphatic Filariasis

iv. Kala-azar

v. Japanese Encephalitis

vi. Chikungunya

vii. Zika Virus

How is the premium charged in this policy?

Premium is charged on the basis of Sum Insured opted.

What is the meaning of the term ‘Vector’ and ‘Vector-borne diseases’?

Vectors are the organisms that transmit pathogens (microorganisms that can cause disease) and parasites from one infected organism to another without falling ill themselves.
Vector-borne diseases are a group of globally distributed and rapidly spreading serious diseases that are caused by Vectors.

Are there any exclusions in this plan?

No benefit will be paid under this plan in case of following:

• Any condition other than Malaria, Lymphatic Filariasis, Dengue Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, Kala Azar, Chikungunya or Zika virus as defined under this policy

• Any condition with respect to the covered benefits, for which the insured was diagnosed, and/or received medical advice/treatment within the waiting period

• Outpatient treatment

• Hospitalisation primarily for any purpose which routinely could have been treated on an out-patient basis and which is not followed by an active treatment or intervention during the period of hospitalization.

• Experimental or unproven procedures or treatments.

• Convalescence, rest cure, sanatorium treatment, rehabilitation measures, respite care, long term nursing care or custodial care and general debility or exhaustion.

Is the cashless facility available in the product?

No, cashless facility is not available in this product. Claims payment is only on reimbursement basis.

Can I also cover my family under this policy?

Yes, you can. Each member will be entitled for separate Sum Insured and premium will be charged for each member separately. For this purpose, Family shall include Self, Spouse, maximum up to 3 Dependent Children and 2 Dependent Parents.

Is there any waiting period in this policy?

Yes, there will be an initial waiting period of 15 days from commencement of policy. However this will be increased to 60 days in case the insured is suffering from any one of the listed conditions, except Lymphatic Filariasis at the time of taking the policy. Further, in case the insured is suffering from Lymphatic Filariasis, at the time of taking the policy, it will be excluded from the Policy.

What should be my age if I want to buy this policy?

An individual of age 18 years to 65 years can buy this policy without any medical tests on annual basis.
