Projects

Future Generali aims to continue investing towards CSR projects in 2020-21 in collaboration with non-profits by executing projects covering focus areas of FGII that will have long-term benefits and measurable impact.

Project Ankur

FGII has been implementing Project Ankur in 17 Anganwadi centers in Panvel & Karjat regions of Maharashtra in collaboration with United Way Mumbai. The project focuses on school readiness & parentability and works with children between 0-6 years and makes them school ready during their formative years of development by working on their developmental milestones such as cognitive, social, and emotional development. The project impacted 2000+ beneficiaries.

STEM

STEM project, supported by Future Generali is implemented in Thane & Panvel regions of Maharashtra in collaboration with United Way Mumbai. The project equipped 4 schools with necessary infrastructure, training and resources for STEM education, to encourage scientific thought and learning amongst children and to create an enabling environment for education in schools and communities. While introducing children to STEM, the project worked towards creating an enabling school environment and an ecosystem that supports student learning. The project benefitted 2000+ beneficiaries.

School Library

The project ‘School Library’ is being implemented in collaboration with Room to Read with an aim to inculcate the habit of reading amongst children, develop their reading skills and help children access the rest of the curriculum and to empower them to be lifelong learners. The School Library program provides the instruction, resources, and space that children need to develop a strong foundation in literacy. The project aims at setting up 12 libraries in municipal schools of Mumbai and benefit 3600+ children. The school library project is an ongoing project and the project duration of the same is January 2020-March 2023.

Covid Ward at Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital

FGII in collaboration with Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital implemented a project specifically focusing on setting up a Covid-19 ward for mothers and their new-borns by providing medical equipment/accessories like X-ray machine, ECG machine, warmers, syringe pumps and infusion pumps for the treatment of the patients and to ensure necessary care, support and delivery of quality health care services to all mothers and children. The project impacted 10000+ beneficiaries admitted in the Covid-19 ward.

Project Sanitation

FGII in collaboration with United Way Mumbai executed a project on sanitation in 8 schools of Panvel, Maharashtra that focuses on maintaining hygiene post-Covid-19 by establishing sanitation facilities and repairing and renovating the existing toilets. The project also aims at providing hand wash stations, IEC materials and installing soap and foot-operated sanitizer dispensers in the schools. The project will impact 3000+ beneficiaries.

PM Cares Fund

We have contributed to the PM Cares fund to help the Centre work efficiently towards combating the ongoing pandemic.

Covid Support

In collaboration with Keshav Shrushti, 1400 PPE kits, 1050 hand gloves, and masks were donated for the safety of the medical staff.

Insurance Awareness

As part of the CSR initiative, General Insurance Council has initiated a project which is aimed at increasing the awareness of General Insurance amongst Indian citizens and preparing them to consider insurance as an option of risk management.
