Nearly 400 million residents of India do not have access to health insurance. The main reason is high premium rates. In an effort to resolve this, Future Generali has come up with a low-premium medical insurance so it's accessible to everyone. Introducing Future Generali's Health Vital Insurance plan for individuals and families.
Future Generali Health Vital Insurance covers your basic medical needs, including doctor consultations, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, prescription medications, maternity, and more. You have the option to choose the total sum insured amount between Rs. 5, 10, and 15 Lakh.
You can pay the premium as a one-time amount or in instalments of 6 or 3 months. If you apply for a long-term plan of 3 years, you might even be eligible for monthly instalments. This is to ensure that everyone can apply for this lowest-cost health insurance.
This Future Generali insurance is a family health insurance, so it covers medical expenses for:
- You
- Your Spouse
- Up to 3 Children
- Live-In Partner
- Parents
- Parents-In-Law
Below are the expenses that will be covered under the policy.
- In-Patient Hospitalisation
This family health insurance covers expenses for hospitalisation required for more than 24 hours. This includes room rent, nursing charges, doctor's fees, and related medical expenses.
- Daycare Treatment
Many lowest-cost health insurance policies don't cover daycare treatment. But Health Vital is not one of them. It covers expenses for 530 listed daycare treatments.
- Several Diseases and Procedures
This insurance covers several diseases and procedures, including cataracts, LASIK, ENT disorders, liver, lung, kidney disorders, and many more.
- Pre and Post Hospitalisation Expenses
Medical expenses that were incurred 30 days before hospitalisation and 30 days after discharge will be covered under the policy.
- Modern and Advanced Treatment Methods
Unlike several low-premium medical insurance policies, Health Vital covers modern and advanced treatment methods to ensure you get the best care.
- AYUSH Treatment
Expenses of AYUSH Treatment comprising Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy are also covered.
- Emergency Road Ambulance
Future Generali will arrange or pay for emergency road ambulance service to the nearest hospital so you get access to immediate treatment.
- Maternity Expenses
You can claim maternity expenses for 2 pregnancies in your lifetime.
- Consumables/Non-Medical Expenses
You can also opt for optional expenses covering consumables such as nutritional needs for your recovery and non-medical expenses such as hand wash, sanitizer, gloves, etc.
- Cumulative Bonus
If you do not make a single medical claim in a year, you get a cumulative bonus of 10%. But the maximum cumulative bonus is 100% of the sum insured.
The following are not covered by this individual health insurance:
- Illness or injury caused by war, war-like operations, and nuclear materials or weapons.
- Circumcision, unless medically necessary.
- Sexually transmitted infections or diseases except for HIV and AIDS
- Anomalies that are present at birth and any illnesses or defects related to those anomalies.
- Stem cell storage.
- Prenatal and postnatal care.
- Personal services such as television, telephone, or barber.
- Non-prescription medicines or elective procedures such as hormone replacement therapy.
Many people are not aware that they have a limit on the amount of expenses they claim in a year. You cannot claim the total sum insured for just one cause. So, here's a breakdown of the benefits and their claim limitations.
