Future Generali aims to continue investing towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in 2023-24 in collaboration with non-profits by creating evidence based projects covering focus areas of FGII that will have long term benefits and measurable impact on ground, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
FGII has been implementing Project Ankur in 19 Anganwadi centers in the Ranchi & Khammam districts of Jharkhand and Telangana in collaboration with United Way Mumbai. The project focuses on school readiness & parentability, works with children directly and makes them school-ready during their formative years of development by working on their developmental milestones such as cognitive, social, and emotional development. The project has impacted 2000+ beneficiaries.
FGII has been implementing Project Ankur in 18 Anganwadi centers in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan in collaboration with Save the Children. The project focuses on school readiness & parentability, works with children directly and makes them school-ready during their formative years of development by working on their developmental milestones such as cognitive, social, and emotional development. The project has impacted 1500+ beneficiaries.
As part of the THSN Anganwadi program, we are organizing financial literacy sessions in three locations: Ranchi (Jharkhand), Jodhpur (Rajasthan), and Mumbai (Maharashtra).
Research indicates that a child's development, including brain development, is significantly influenced by their early environment. Children who lack adequate care, nutrition, stimulation, learning opportunities, and protection may not reach their full potential. We focus on supporting families living in socio-economically vulnerable conditions, which can hinder both parents and children, particularly during early childhood.
In partnership with Aflatoun, we conducted training sessions for facilitators and tailored content with local contexts. Sessions on financial literacy covered topics such as savings, budgeting, and distinguishing between needs and wants, benefiting underprivileged families. The financial literacy sessions aimed at empowering parents to prioritize their family budgets effectively and to plan for their children's long-term future. Our strategy integrates financial literacy into family programs, aiming to educate and empower beneficiaries to become financially literate.
We have so far conducted 216 sessions in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation, 54 sessions with Bal Raksha Bharat (also known as Save the Children), and 36 sessions with United Way Mumbai.
In India, about 60 million people are disabled and 42.5% of them are women while 75% of people with disabilities come from rural areas. Nearly 40 million people in India, including 1.6 million children, are blind or visually impaired due to uncorrected refractive error. There is a confluence of barriers to accessibility with inaccessible and unaffordable technologies, inaccessible websites, and unsupportive laws to cater to the needs of visually impaired. As a result, they unable to have access to facilities available around them to enhance their skills like any others.
With the given scenario accessible computer labs will play a vital role in the lives of PWDs very specially persons with visual impairment to enhance their skills and prepare themselves for their professional life and career growth in future.
The project focuses on supporting visually impaired students by providing accessible computer labs in Madhya Pradesh. The computer labs will be used to provide basic computer training to students with visual impairment and enhance their skill in basic computers to prepare them for their professional life. The project will benefit over 600 beneficiaries.
The project is executed in collaboration with Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled.
